Judges Tipped on Judgment Writing

At least 18 High Court Judges are taking part in a five-day course on judgment writing at the Judicial Training Institute.

The course which is facilitated by the Judicial Institute for Africa is facilitated by Ms. Dame Linda Dobbs, Hon. Lady Justice Prof. Lillian Tibatemwa and Hon. Justice Oagile Dingake. The course aims to enhance the skills of Judges to craft and deliver judgments.

Ms. Dame Linda Dobbs said at the end of the course, participants will be able to identify approaches and techniques to judgment writing.

Ms. Dame Linda Dobbs was a High Court Judge in England and Wales from 2004 - 2013. She was also the first non-white person to be appointed to the Senior Judiciary of England and Wales.
